Hi howdy hello fellow café lovers!

Welcome back to Cards and Cafés. I recently caught up with Uni friends Maddy and Flick for our monthly catch up. Who's Harry?
We love catching up for breakfast and coffee and sitting there for hours chatting and laughing at the good old times at Uni.We decided to continue down Church Street in Hawthorn due to the high number of cafés in that area.

On entering Who’s Harry, we all thought that it was a fun and quirky place. The miss match of furniture and colourful chairs really adds character to this café and makes it stand out from others in the area. The top hats and pieces of clothing on the wall adds to the theme of the café and leads you to wonder who Harry actually is.

The coffee at Who’s Harry was GREAT! It was strong, just how I like my coffee and was a great size unlike café’s I’ve been to in the past.

Coffee rating: 3/5   3 out of 5

Like most café’s in Melbourne, this café had a great menu with a large number of tasty meals to choice from. Both Maddy and I had the smash avocado served with feta on toasted sourdough. We both added a poached egg and I decided to add cooked mushrooms. This has to be one of the best smashed avo dishes that I have ever had! The serving sizes are very generous and I definitely struggled to finish. The soft avo accompanied with the salty mushrooms was like a party in your mouth. The mix of flavours and textures kept you coming back for more. The perfectly cooked egg added a extra level of richness to the dish. I would HIGHLY recommend this dish, and why not add a serving of bacon while you’re at it.

Smashed Avo

Flick ordered the breakfast burger, which was served with grilled bacon, egg, avo and tomato on a Turkish roll. I have to say that she truly enjoyed it. Looking at the meal when it arrived, the serving size appeared to be very small, but we were wrong about that. Flick like Maddy and I struggled to finish. She said that the crunchy grilled bacon with the fried egg tasted great and the tomato relish added an extra and unusual flavour that left her smiling

Breakfast Burger
Breakfast Burger served with grilled bacon, egg, avo, tasty cheese, tomato relish and mayo on a Turkish roll ($15.50)

The only thing to remember is that this café is quiet small, so you might need to get there early if you want a table.

The staff are very friendly and very welcoming and are pleased to change meals if needed.
