What’s cracking café lovers?
Welcome back to Cards and Cafés! This time my friend Beth and I ventured out to Heathmont. I thought that I needed to move away from my favourite brunch areas those being Hawthorn and Camberwell and try somewhere different.
Another friend of mine told me about this café and I thought that I’d go and give it a try.
It was a great café with plenty of seats both inside and out, which means you can always find somewhere to sit. It was very easy to find as its on Canterbury Road in a little shopping strip.
FOOD & DRINKS
With a large menu with a number of mouth- watering choices, Chapter Too provides their customers with all day breakfasts and great lunchtime dishes. These photos were taken in April 2016 and might have changed.

I ordered a latte; it came out in about 7 minutes, which is a little slower than most cafés. It was an average coffee, it was nice a hot which was great and had a delightful rich flavour. But it wasn’t the best I’ve had nor was it the worst.
Coffee rating: 3/5

Both Beth and I ordered Viva l’ Bufalo, which was served with smashed avocado, prosciutto, heirloom tomato and buffalo mozzarella on sourdough with basil oil and sea salt. I also decided to add a hash brown as I’ve heard they are amazing and I just had to give them a try.
We both really enjoyed our meals; it was a lovely, healthy and refreshing dish. Beth said that she loved the fresh tomatoes and basil together as they really brought the dish together. The saltiness of the prosciutto against the soft creaminess of the mozzarella was a fantastic flavour combination. The cheese really helped to balance out the saltiness of the prosciutto which made it more palatable and more enjoyable. I LOVED LOVED LOVED the potato hash brown. It was absolutely incredible and would high recommend that you order it when visiting Chapter Too. It had this incredible crunch on the outside and inside it was soft and fluffy!
The dish was a good size and Beth thought that it was quite reasonable price.
The only thing that I think was missing from this dish was a poached egg. But once you start adding extras it starts to become quite an expensive meal.

ENVIRONMENT & SERVICE
Chapter Too have a very relaxed atmosphere, with a number of tables outside under outdoor heaters (which is great in winter) and also has a number of tables inside. I feel that you will almost always get a table at Chapter Too, even during their busy weekend times, due to the large floor space.
The service was fairly good, the food arrived at the table rather quickly, which was great as we were both so hungry. They also checked up on us a number of times throughout our meal to make sure everything was ok.
You can definitely see that this is a family friendly place, as there were a number of tables that had groups of mothers with their child. It was nice to see the children enjoying themselves, but it can get quite noisy.
When we were there a child was playing with a ball and it almost landed in our food. This is definitely not the cafés fault, but I just wanted to tell you that a lot of families go there and warn you that there might be children running around.
They had an unusual feature wall that was made out of old books, which had a white wash over it. This definitely added to the character of the café and made it stand out to others in the area.
