What’s cracking café lovers?
Welcome back to Cards and Cafés! I hope that you’ve all been well and are ready to come on another food adventure with me. I recently caught up with my good friend Emily for lunch. The last café we went to was The Pour Kids in Malvern, so if you’re interested you should definitely check it out.
Two Brothers is very easy to find as it sits on Mitcham road and is just a short drive/walk from Mitcham train station. There was plenty of parking down the side streets in you plan to sit there for longer or outside the front of the café if it’s a quick coffee pickup.
FOOD & DRINKS
Two Brothers have a great sized menu, with plenty of great breakfast and lunch options. The following menu photos were taken at the beginning of July 2016 and might have change since.
I decided to order a cappuccino for a change and I thought that it was a fabulous coffee. It came to the table very quickly and it was the perfect temperature. It had a rich and creamy flavour, which went down nicely on that chilly Melbourne afternoon.
Coffee rating: 4/5

Emily ordered a hot chocolate and was very happy with what she got. We both loved the glass that it served in and thought that it was something quite different.
Hot chocolate rating: 4/5

Emily ordered the Breakfast Bravas, which was an egg pancake with confit potatoes, sautéed chorizo & cannelloni beans tossed through tomato and caramelized onion, with sour cream and guacamole.
Emily said that her meal was delicious and would definitely be a dish that she would order again. She said that all the flavours of all the elements blended together perfectly and balanced each other out. She loved the rich flavour that the sautéed chorizo brought to the dish.
As Emily is gluten intolerant, so she was very happy to hear that she could eat this dish.

I ordered the Eggs Rangeview, with two poached eggs on grilled sourdough with Otway’s bacon, avocado mashed and Hollandaise sauce.
I thought that the flavours were fantastic. The eggs were cooked perfect! I loved how the egg yolks ran across the plate and mixed with the Hollandaise and the avo. The saltiness of the bacon helped to break up the richness of the Hollandaise and helped to balance out the rest of the flavours of the dish.
I would definitely order this dish again and would recommend it to any egg fans out there.

ENVIRONMENT & SERVICE
Two Brothers was a very cosy little café and we loved sitting by the window. There are a few tables inside the café and a table or two outside. It was quite busy when we went there, so I can imagine on a Saturday morning they are just buzzing with the local coming back from Saturday sport or just a family outing.
The employees are all so friendly and welcomed us with a warm smile and were very chatty. They were very helpful and answered all the questions Emily had with the menu.

Hi, I do think this
is a great website. I stumbledupon it 😉 I may revisit yet again since I book marked it.
Money and freedom is the best way to change, may you
be rich and continue to guide other people.|
Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this site.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s
difficult to
get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and
visual appeal.
I must say you have done a superb job with this.
In addition, the blog loads very quick for me on Chrome.
Exceptional Blog!
